Paragon Plating - Electroplater

 Paragon Plating in West Sussex are urgently seeking to recruit an Electroplater for an immediate start.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the electroplating environment with a track record of producing high quality work for a wide range of customers.

The Role

  • Responsible for carrying out a variety of electroplating processes on manufactured components
  • Knowledge and experience in a range of electroplating processes such as ENIG, Tin, …….
  • Previous experience in preparing components using masking and surface preparation techniques
  • Be able to jig and wire components ready for processing
  • Excellent attention to detail is important ensuring the components consistently meet the highest standards
  • You must be able to complete work to the correct quality and specifications
  • Be able to use an XRF machine – training can be given
  • Inspect finished components to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain plating equipment and solutions
  • Handle components safely and efficiently

Experience

  • Must have previous experience of working in a plating environment
  • Must have an understanding of electroplating processes and procedures
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Have a high level of accuracy
  • You must be physically fit, comfortable with manual handling and able to lift up to 25kg
  • Be reliable and hard working
  • Able to work safely
  • Basic IT skills

 Details

  • Hours 7.00 to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with 30 minute unpaid lunch break
  • Location Billingshurst, West Sussex (15 minutes from Horsham and 40 minutes from Crawley and Gatwick)
  • Competitive rates of pay dependant on experience.

The Role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Sales team. This role combines responsibility for sales growth, key account management, and technical-commercial expertise within the aerospace, defence, and associated industrial sectors. You will work alongside our external technical sales team and internal sales and customer service team to drive growth with existing and new customers across OEM and MRO channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to achieve and exceed agreed revenue, margin and growth targets
  • Customer Relationship Management: Proactively identify further commercial opportunities within existing accounts, while also managing customer issues, complaints and escalations professionally and efficiently
  • Technical & Application Support: Provide technical problem-solving support to customers and internal teams, interpreting customer requirements and advising on suitable product and system solutions
  • Marketing, Representation & Industry Engagement: Contribute to the company’s marketing strategy and brand positioning, support the development and execution of marketing materials and campaigns, and represent Indestructible Paint at industry events
  • Undertake UK and occasional overseas travel as required, including customer visits, trials, approvals, exhibitions, and conferences. Expected travel approximately 60%

  • Sales revenue and gross margin against targets
  • New business wins and successful product/system introductions

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Background in formulation or the application techniques for high performance technical coatings. Ideally an application background using spray gun technologies for PU and epoxy-based coating systems
  • Some commercial experience in a customer-facing role in technical sales, business development or key account management within the technical coatings industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of technical, commercial and regulatory stakeholders, including OEMs, MRO service providers and distributors
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally around 60% of the time to manage complex customer programmes.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Must hold a full UK driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience with aerospace/defence approval processes and timelines and the impact of regulatory demands on product specification
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing, QA processes, and application methods
  • Awareness of export controls, quality systems and compliance in a regulated industry.
  • Used to navigate long specification development, testing, approval and sales cycles

Plating/Surface Finishing Technician

We are looking to recruit a Plating/Surface Finishing Technician to work in our facilities in Taunton, carrying out various processes in the production of precision assemblies.

The role will involve plating, etching, cleaning & testing amongst other associated production tasks as well as bulk handling of chemicals whilst working safely to Health & Safety/COSHH standards.

You would be working in a friendly team for an independent company supplying specialist products worldwide. You would be working standard day shifts with flexibility.

Previous experience and a chemistry qualification required.
